03Information we collect
The information the App collects falls into three groups: information collected by the third-party services the App uses (Section 5), information stored in Google Firebase if you join the world ranking, and information stored only on your device. We do not operate any servers of our own.
Information collected automatically through third-party services
Advertising identifiers (the Android advertising ID and the iOS IDFA; on iOS only where you have allowed tracking)
Device information (device model, operating system and its version, language setting, region setting, and the like)
IP address and network information (from which an approximate region may be inferred)
App usage (event information such as screen views, the start and end of a game, and the use of sharing)
App instance ID (an identifier used by the analytics service to identify an installation of the App)
Ad impressions and interactions (for example, when an ad is shown or tapped)
Information stored if you join the world ranking (optional)
When you register a player name to join the world ranking in the App, the following information is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and shown to other users. If you do not register a player name, none of this information is sent to the world ranking.
Player name (nickname)
Score, number of hearts, maximum combo, and play time
Display language, last updated date and time, and the record's expiry date
An anonymous ID used to manage your record (assigned automatically to each device by Firebase Authentication)
Please do not use information that could identify you, such as your real name or phone number, as your player name.
Information stored only on your device
The following information is stored only on your device and is never sent to us or to any third party.
Player names and scores shown in the on-device ranking (top 10 entries)
Achievement progress
Sound effect settings, music settings, and the mute state
A record of whether the tutorial has been shown
Information the App does not collect
Name, address, telephone number, date of birth, or email address (the App has no account registration)
Device location (the App does not use location permissions)
Contacts, photographs, camera, or microphone data on your device
Payment information such as credit card numbers (the App has no in-app purchases)
On Android, the App requests only two permissions: INTERNET, for network communication, and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, to check connectivity. On iOS, the App shows the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before it uses the advertising identifier.
The App also has no dedicated service for collecting crash information.
If you email us, we collect your email address and the contents of your message so that we can reply.
04Purposes of use
We use the information we collect for the purposes below.
To provide the App and keep it working properly
To provide the world ranking (publishing player names and scores)
To deliver advertising and measure its effectiveness
To analyze usage data in aggregate so that we can improve the App and consider new features
To understand defects and improve quality
To reply to inquiries and contact you when necessary
To detect and prevent improper use
To comply with applicable laws
We do not handle your information beyond the scope of the purposes above without obtaining your prior consent. We do not use the information we collect to identify any specific individual.
05Third-party services
The App uses the third-party services below. These services handle information in accordance with the privacy policies of their respective providers.
Advertising — Google AdMob
The App uses Google AdMob, an advertising service from Google LLC, to show banner ads and interstitial ads (full-screen ads shown between screens). AdMob may automatically collect information, including advertising identifiers, in order to deliver ads and measure their effectiveness. The content rating of the ads shown in the App is capped at General audiences (G).
In order to understand how the App is used and to improve it, we use Google Analytics for Firebase (Firebase Analytics), provided by Google LLC. We collect event data — screen views, when a game starts and ends, and when you use the share feature — along with the device information attached to those events. We do not set any user ID or user property that would identify you as an individual.
World ranking — Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore / Firebase Authentication)
We use Cloud Firestore, provided by Google LLC, to store world ranking records, and Firebase Authentication (anonymous sign-in) to issue the anonymous ID used to manage each record. Firebase Authentication may collect information such as IP addresses to prevent abuse.
The App is distributed through Google Play (Google LLC). The App Store (Apple Inc.) version is scheduled for release in October 2026. Information relating to app downloads is handled in accordance with the policies of each platform operator.
The App includes a feature for sharing your score with other apps. You choose which app to share with, and we never receive what you share.
06Consent and opt-out
In regions where consent is required
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions where consent is required, the App shows a consent form at start-up using Google's User Messaging Platform. We start serving ads and collecting analytics only after you have responded to the consent form and ad requests have been determined to be permitted. Until you answer, analytics collection stays turned off.
You can bring up your consent settings again and change them at any time from the "Privacy" button on the title screen (where your region is covered by the consent form).
Consent in the App and withdrawing it
The App asks for your consent to this policy when you first launch it. You can withdraw your consent at any time from "Privacy" > "Withdraw consent" on the title screen. If you do, we stop serving ads and collecting analytics, and your world ranking record is deleted (Section 9).
Resetting and limiting the advertising identifier
You can reset or limit the use of your advertising identifier at any time from your device settings. Examples are given below; the wording may differ depending on the version of your operating system.
iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, where you can change whether apps are allowed to track you. If tracking is not allowed, the App does not use the IDFA
Android: Settings > Google > Ads, where you can reset or delete your advertising ID
Even if you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will no longer be tailored to your interests.
07Provision to third parties
We do not provide the information we collect to third parties, except in any of the following cases.
If you have given your consent
If it is required under applicable laws
If it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain your consent
If it is necessary to cooperate with a national government body, a local authority, or a party entrusted by either of them in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining your consent risks impeding the performance of those duties
If we outsource work to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use
When we outsource work, we exercise the necessary and appropriate supervision over the contractor.
The third-party services described in Section 5 collect information on their own responsibility, and that collection does not necessarily constitute provision of personal data by us.
The player name, score, and other details you register in the world ranking are shown to other users of the App as a result of your own registration.
08Children's privacy
We take the protection of children's privacy seriously. The App is not a service directed exclusively at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Respecting the intent of COPPA (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of the United States) and other relevant laws, we will promptly delete any such information if we learn that information from a child under 13 has been collected.
The ads shown in the App are capped at the General audiences (G) content rating. The age rating we declare for the App in the app stores is likewise All ages.
If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that information about your child has been collected, please contact us at the address in Section 12. We will check the matter and respond promptly.
09Retention and deletion of data
Retention periods are as follows.
World ranking records: 90 days after you last used the App (automatically deleted after that period)
Information stored on your device (leaderboard, achievements, and settings): until you uninstall the App
Information collected by third-party services: the retention period set by each service provider
Deleting your world ranking record
You can delete your own record (player name, score, play time, etc.) from our servers at any time via "Privacy" > "Remove me from the world ranking" on the title screen of the App. If you are offline, the deletion is sent the next time you are online. Your record is also deleted if you choose "Withdraw consent."
World ranking records are automatically deleted 90 days after you last used the App. Records that can no longer be deleted from the App because you uninstalled and reinstalled it or changed devices are also deleted after 90 days. If you would like a record deleted sooner, please contact us at the address below with the subject "World ranking record deletion request," and include your player name and the approximate date you registered.
If you would like other data deleted
You can erase the data on your device by uninstalling the App or by clearing the App's data from your operating system settings
To delete information held by the advertising and analytics providers, please use the tools each provider offers (such as your Google account settings)
For any other request regarding the handling of data, please contact us by email at the address below
To: info@witkey-studio.co.jp
Subject: "App data deletion request"
Please include: the name of the App, the device and operating system you use, your contact information, and what you are asking us to do
Once we have verified your identity, we will act on your request within a reasonable period, except for information we are required by law to retain.
10Security measures
We take the necessary and appropriate measures to keep the information we collect secure and to prevent it from being leaked, lost, or damaged.
We operate no servers of our own, and store in the world ranking only what is needed, such as player names and scores, keeping the data we hold to a minimum
Firebase security rules allow a world ranking record to be changed or deleted only from the device that registered it
Communication with third-party services takes place over encrypted connections (HTTPS)
We supervise everyone who handles information for us, including our contractors
We carry out regular checks and reviews of how information is handled
11Changes to this policy
We may change this policy in response to amendments to the law, changes to the features of the App, or changes to the third-party services we use. The revised content takes effect from the time it is posted on this page. If we make a significant change, we will give notice within the App or on our website.
